I was sugar free and grain free for 5 months. Ate one slice of gluten free cake at a party 3 weeks ago and have been craving sugar ever since. I’ll try this for my sweet tooth. Looks amazing

Coconut butter is widely available in Calgary. Planet Organic, CNF,MRS. Greens Market in the SE. The same brand as in this recipe. Also sometimes at Winner’s and home sense.

I HATE coconut as an ingredient (texture). Can I leave it out, and just make fewer units, or will it affect the overall recipe?

When I put the ingredients in Myfitnesspal, I only come up with 18 grams of fat. I can’t figure out where the difference is.

Do you think I could use peppermint essential oil in place of the peppermint extract?

These sound refreshing! Love a good peppermint patty. I shared this in a blog here: http://wedigfood.com/foodie-blog/spoil-yourself-8-decadent-vegan-desserts. I am building a community of vegans and would love for you to hop over and leave a recipe.

Your recipe doesn’t specify how many bombs you made. I’m assuming 9?

Followed this recipe to a T…they sadly turned out very bitter and chalky. I could not taste the peppermint at all even though I used the same peppermint oil pictured. Will have to switch up proportions next time. They looked cute when they came out though!

Thanks for the fantastic recipe….the peppermint patties were so good I started experimenting with some other extract flavors (in place of the peppermint) that I thought would be good with chocolate and they’ve turned out just as good!…I did a batch of chocolate banana and a second batch of chocolate orange….going to try strawberry or raspberry chocolate next! Such a versitile base to make a whole host of flavors!

Our instructor recommended a few fat bomb recipes including this one. These sounded good in the moment and we were absolutely pleased and satisfied with these Paleo Peppermint Patties! LOVE! These are definetely something I want to keep on hand.

I feel like I’m missing something, but I’ve re-read this recipe and it’s just not working. How is 2TB of coconut oil plus 2TB of cacao supposed to cover 24 patties? It was enough chocolate for seven of mine and that was just barely covering the peppermint so that the white doesn’t show through.
